December 3, 2010

Today is my last day interning at Marketing Strategies, Inc.  I cannot believe how fast this semester has flown by, and I cannot believe how short my time has been here.  I feel like this internship could not have gone any better.  I believe that I am a more well-rounded business professional, and I cannot wait to use the skills I have learned here toward my future career.

Karen Pavlick will be taking over my position as the PRinciples intern for the Spring 2011 semester.  I know she will have a lot to offer!

Thank you for following us =), and thank you Marketing Strategies, Inc. for giving me more then I could have asked for!

Sincerely yours,
Megan

November 29, 2010

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!  I used my break to get caught up on a lot of schoolwork, and to start preparing for the dreaded finals week that is coming up!
We have chosen a new intern for the Spring 2011 semester.  Her name is Karen Pavlick and I believe she will be great help to the PRinciples program.  She is a senior at Coastal Carolina University, majoring in Marketing and Communications.  She has had experience working with the Red Cross and she hopes to work in PR/Event Planning industry.
I have a lot to finish up this week, considering it will be my last week interning for Marketing Strategies, Inc.  =(
Cheers,
Megan

I have continued to recruit for the internship position this week.  I did “mini” presentations in my classes explaining the type of internship PRinciples is, the quality of people we are looking for, and the tasks/responsibilities of the intern.  I have had a lot of positive feedback and many people asking for more information on the application process.
I have also been updating our website and I created a Twitter account for the internship program!  Follow us @ msPRinciples!!
Sincerely,
Megan

This week really flew by!  I have been working on updating our PRinciples Internship Program website for the majority of my time these past few days.  It has been a really good experience and I know I will need these skills in the future!
I have also been working on the Beach Ball Classic contact information.  You really do not know how much work goes into things until you experience it for yourself!
I am in charge of the recruiting process for the new intern for next semester!  I have been looking over applications and I am excited to evaluate people and make the best possible choice.
Until next time,
Megan

Wow, I cannot even believe that it is November already!  I feel like I just started my internship program here.  I guess the saying is true; time really does fly when you are having fun!

So far my internship with Marketing Strategies has been amazing!  It has been a truly eye-opening experience to witness firsthand how fast paced the business world really is.  I feel like you can only learn so much about business from sitting in a classroom and sticking your nose in a book.  You really HAVE to go out there and experience it yourself.  That is the main reason why I feel so truly blessed to work with a company like this one!
I have had a lot of different project and tasks, everything from marketing research to web design, handling different clients to writing press releases.  My newest task is this blog =)
I look forward to keeping you updated on all the activities from the perspective of the PRinciples Intern herself!
Sincerely,
Megan
