This has been a very busy and productive week!

Marketing Strategies, Inc. is responsible for designing the program for the 2011 Carolinas All-Star Basketball Classic. This tournament features the best players from North Carolina vs. the best players from South Carolina.

I have been working to gather the information for the player profiles in the program. This entails inputting the information that they have sent us and contacting coach's for missing information. I look forward to continuing my work on this project.

Until next time,

Karen

Good afternoon everyone,

I have been busy today continuing my work on the media files. I finished organizing and compiling all the information. As I went through I labeled the publications so I would know which were current and which needed to be updated. Those that are not current need the 2011 media kit and rate card. This can be found on most websites, however if they are not available I send a email request for it.

I LOVE the work I get to do here :)

Yours Truly,

Karen

Hello again,

This week has flown by! I've continued working on updating the media files, there almost completely organized! Yayy :)

I believe it is very important during an internship to understand why your doing what your doing. Here at Marketing Strategies, Inc. they take the time to explain to me the significance of each assignment. This helps me to understand the purpose of each assignment rather than just doing it.

I hope you all like the new design of the blog! Please feel free to leave any comments or suggestions that you have.

Have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Karen

Hello everyone,

This has been a great week at Marketing Strategies, Inc.!

I was assigned the task of organizing the media list today, which allowed me to get a deeper insight into this profession.

In marketing and public relations keeping a media list is crucial. This includes the current contact information for each publication, its circulation, distribution areas, and advertising rates. It is very important that the list is current!

I look forward to continuing to be apart of the team here at Marketing Strategies, Inc. and learning as much as I can.

Have a great weekend!

Your Truly,

Karen
